Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981), known as Britney Spears, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. She is credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s and early 2000s, for which she is referred to as the "Princess of Pop".

Why She's the Princess of Pop

  1. Her iconic songs such as "...Baby One More Time", "Oops!... I Did It Again", "I'm a Slave 4 U" ,"Toxic", "Gimme More", "Womanizer" and "Till the World Ends".
  2. Her elaborate performances which mostly have gotten positive reviews since 1998.
  3. She defended the late Michael Jackson from Diane Sawyer and said she believes he's innocent and that the accusations towards him are untrue.
  4. She collaborated with numerous great artists herself including Madonna, Backstreet Boys, Tinashe, Pharrell Williams and Rihanna.

  9. Although she's being criticized for being bad singer. She proved many times she can sing like here. She also has really good vocal range (4 octaves F#2- F#6).
  10. She is good feature on song "SMS (Bangerz)" by Miley Cyrus and "S&M" by Rihanna.

Bad Qualities

  1. She butchered several classic songs such as "I Love Rock N Roll" and "My Prerogative".
  2. She had bad songs such as "Pretty Girls", "Scream and Shout", "Big Fat Bass", and "Chillin' with You".
  3. She has garnered controversy as most of her content post-2008 had very large and distracting amounts of auto-tune and also overused her "baby voice" which rubbed critics and audience members the wrong way. People also have accused her of lip-syncing in her concerts, which have caused people to walk out.
  4. Her album Britney Jean garnered controversy because almost all songs were supposedly sung by background singer, Myah Marie. Also, the album wasn't really good.
  5. Her acting career was lukewarmly received by critics.
