Madonna Louise Ciccone, known as Madonna, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, record producer, dancer, director, author and humanitarian.

Why She Rocks

  1. Her vocals can be pretty impressive in almost every decade she has released albums.
  2. She has numerous iconic albums, performances, and singles since the early 1980s.
  3. Her well produced music videos which (almost) always receives critical praise
  4. Although her acting career received mixed reviews, she seems to do well in performances such as "Evita", "Dick Tracy", and "A League of Their Own".
  5. She defended Michael Jackson from the Leaving Neverland documentary and has said "I don’t have a lynch-mob mentality, so in my mind, people are innocent until proven guilty. So my attitude when people tell me things about people is "Can you prove it?".
  6. She is seen and labelled by many as "The Queen of Pop" and rightfully so.
  7. She is very charitable too and has taken part in numerous charity events in Africa.
    • In fact, she adopted a pair of Malawian twin sisters and is happily caring for them.
  8. She produces (or co-produces) almost all of her songs post-1986, and considering that most became iconic and popular, shows that she is a great producer.
  9. She has shown that she still has the youthful spirit inside her as in most videos and performances post-1998, she is seen doing stunts that some say would be too much for someone who is pushing 40, 50, or 60.
  10. She isn't afraid to experiment with several genres, looks, and themes in her music and most of the time they actually work and help further her role as a musical icon.
  11. She made a pretty brave critical statement after Sinead O'Connor's "Fight the Real Enemy" stunt at her guest appearance on SNL back in 1992 in which Sinead tore up a picture of Pope John Paul II in protest of sexual abuse in the Catholic Church which caused a massive controversy and scandal. Madonna went on to say that “I think there is a better way to present her ideas rather than ripping up an image that means a lot to other people.” and proceeded to rip up a photo of convicted felon Joey Buttafuoco in O'Connor fashion in 1993 saying to fight "THE real enemy".

Bad Qualities

  1. During her tribute to the late Aretha Franklin at the 2018 VMAs she displayed an "all about me" attitude because she mostly talked about singing one of Franklin's songs at an audition which started her singing career. She made it worse by later explaining that she had no idea it was a tribute even though she was asked to say something about Franklin. Moreover, she did the same thing during her tribute to the late Prince. So, she pretty much disrespected a dead person on two separate occasions.
  2. She has had several bad songs such as "Bitch I'm Madonna", "Justify My Love", "Where Life Begins", her cover of "American Pie" by Don McLean and the theme song for Die Another Day.
  3. She had an awful interval act performance at Eurovision alongside Quavo.
  4. She frequently treats her fans like crap and can barely criticism at all. The most notable examples of this are her always being late for her own concerts, sometimes for up to 2 hours, and recently making a pro-COVID-19 video in her bathtub. Unsurprisingly, none of her fans were happy and one mega-fan even sued her for her tardiness. Not only that, but she rudely told her fans to "shut the fuck up" and insulted them by calling them "diva bitches" after they booed her for being late for a concert.
  5. She "honored" George Floyd by posting a video of her son dancing to the late Michael Jackson's "They Don't Care About Us". Many people mocked her response and compared it to the infamous Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial.
  6. Much like Drake and post-2015 Rihanna, Madonna is very against people using her songs even if they're under Fair Use and even charged people exorbitant amounts of money to use them. As a result, her songs have never been used in most movies, TV shows and video games. Even if they're used in other media, they're nothing but rough covers to circumvent her bans.
  7. Nowadays, she uses too much autotune in most of her newer songs.
  8. She danced with the Philippine flag and even at one point touched the floor during her 2016 World Heart Tour in the Philippines during the 30th anniversary of EDSA People Power Revolution, violating R.A 8491, causing her to be banned from the country by the Malacañang. She also did this to the Germany and Taiwanese flags.
