Why They Rocked

  1. Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Richard Wright were great vocalist.
  2. Their music is usually simple in its structures. Other progressive rock acts would play a thousand notes and switch tempos and time keys every few bars. Pink Floyd could play twenty minutes on two chords.
  3. The sense of progression in their songs usually comes from changes in intensity. When they performed, it was all about aligning with breath, feelings, and mood.
  4. They have great to amazing production.
  5. They're mixing is amazing.
  6. The lyrics in their songs often bordered on absolute genius and dealt with serious topics.
  7. They're one of the most experimental bands of all time playing things like psychedelic, acid, jazz, and ect.
  8. They made really high quality albums like, The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall.

Bad Qualities

  1. They could get very boring for some.
  2. Their albums like Ummagumma, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and The Endless River received mixed to negative reviews.
