Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American rock band formed in 1983.

Why Their Songs Rock

  1. Anthony's voice is neat and he has a lot of expression.
  2. They have great music videos.
  3. They have awesome songs such as "Aeroplane", "My Friends", "Warped", "Scar Tissue", "Californication", "Give It Away", "Under The Bridge", "Behind The Sun", Breaking The Girl" , and "Otherside".
  4. They can be pretty funny from time to time.
  5. Their lyrical content is neat.
  6. They respect a lot of their fans just like Coldplay and Muse.
  7. They have neat albums such as Freaky Styley, One Hot Minute and Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
  8. Flea is an awesome bassist.
  9. Chad Smith is a great drummer.
  10. John Frusciante is a good guitarist.
  11. Their performances are neat too.

Bad Qualities

  1. Their post-1999 music isn't quite as good as their earlier music, besides I'm With You, which was surprisingly great despite lacking Frusciante.
  2. They started to move away from funk rock, which caused them to go downhill (as mentioned above).
  3. Some of the members have been involved in sexual misconduct accusations and lawsuits. In 1990, drummer Chad Smith and bassist Flea were arrested for sexually harassing a 20-year-old woman during a show. In 1989, lead vocalist Anthony Kiedis was convicted of indecent exposure and sexual battery for exposing himself to a woman after a show in Virginia. Later in his autobiography Scar Tissue, Kiedis admitted to having sex with a minor (aka statutory rape). Twice. The girl was 14 at the time while Kiedis was 23 and even after learning her age, he continued the sexual relationship. To make matters worse, this also inspired him to write the song "Catholic School Girls Rule" which is one of the band's worst songs. Lastly, in 2016 a former music executive accused two members of the band of sexually harassing her during a business meeting back in 1991.
